Following the success of The Cocktail Trading Company in Oxford Circus, the award winning team of bartenders, Andy Mil, Olly Brading and Elliot Ball are opening a second venue, The Cocktail Trading Company Smithfield, launching on 12th October. The new cocktail bar will be located in the basement of the already popular all-day modern restaurant and bar, Ask For Janice. CTC Smithfield proposes to bring the hustle and bustle of the area’s much loved market place from the outside in. The 50-capacity space will come fitted with fine fabrics and rustic features, and guests will be invited to swap their antiques and knicknacks for cocktails in a nod to the area’s marketplace ties.
As with its sister venue, the menu will serve up an array of imaginative cocktails, combining edible garnishes with quirky drinking vessels to create cocktail masterpieces. Expect a typically playful and creative list featuring Hops Buttered Bun (Bols Genever, raisin, nutmeg, spiced-butter syrup, wheat beer and lime juice) and the Citizen Cane (Cachaca, rosebud tincture, cadamom, vanilla, lime juice and sauvignon blanc), as well as a high-quality pool of non-alcoholic cocktails.
The Cocktail Trading Company, Smithfield will be at 50-52 Long Acre – EC1A 9AJ and will be open from 4pm to 11.30 pm Monday thru Thursday and from 4pm to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
