Community engagement: Brookfield Multiplex will be hosting a cycle safety day on Friday 20th March.
The event is run in conjunction with the Metropolitan Police. The idea is to give cyclists an opportunity to sit in the cab of a Large Goods Vehicle and experience for themselves how difficult it can be for truck drivers to see other road users including cyclists and pedestrians. The truck will be located on London Wall in the large paved area adjacent to
Moorhouse.
Brookfield’s groundworks specialist, Keltbray, have kindly offered to provide one of their trucks for this event
which carry the latest safety equipment including cameras and side barriers. A cycle specialist will be on
hand to check over and service bikes. ‘Ivor Goodsite’ will be on hand to make the event attractive to
our younger neighbours – please feel free to join in the fun.
