Tom and Ed Martin, of privately-owned ETM Group (which runs The Jugged Hare and Chiswell Street Dining Rooms close to the Barbican), have confirmed the opening of their 15th venue, and first late-night venture, this April located within the Broadgate Circle development near Liverpool Street Station in the City.

Following the success of its sister restaurant on Sloane Square, The Botanist Broadgate Circle designed by Russell Sage Studio will occupy 7,986 square ft split over two levels: a ground floor bar and restaurant and the subterranean Soda Room – hoped to be Broadgate Circle’s primary drinking and late-night venue.

A raised dining area, bar and al fresco terrace on the ground floor will cater for a total of 158 covers. Key design features will include: a central feature bar with a botany-inspired flora and fauna artwork and taxidermy display cases; brass-edged tables and a variety of seating options ranging from reclaimed café style chairs to mid-century modern inspired leather armchairs and banquettes with a patchwork of gold, bronze and green leather.

Open seven days a week, the restaurant will cater to weekday lunch, dinner, light bite and Sunday lunch trade with signature dishes to include: shellfish platters; tuna tartare; Iberico pork shoulder with pickled nectarines and nasturtium; confit duck burger with blue cheese and a selection of prime cut steaks. Average spend per head for a three-course meal with wine will be between £35 to £50.

Downstairs, Soda Room will be open until 2am Wednesday-Saturday with the option for private hire on Mondays and Tuesdays. The sleek space will have a 150-cover capacity with pre-bookable booths, a dancefloor and live DJ nights. An extensive list of international wines, including those from an Enomatic wine dispenser, will sit alongside premium draft lagers, cider, spirits and of course the innovative ever-evolving cocktails that The Botanist on Sloane Square has become synonymous with.

Tom Martin, Co-Founder of ETM Group, said: “The Botanist on Sloane Square is one of our busiest London venues and the brand is ideally suited to the clientele of Broadgate and the City in general. We are delighted to be bringing this highly successful format to such a prominent and prestigious City location.”
