This Christmas, botanically brewed drinks makers, Fentimans, will be bringing sugar, spice and all things iced to the rooftops of London. The life-size Pink Gingerbread House celebrates the brands recently launched Pink Ginger soft drink, a contemporary twist on the much-loved traditional Ginger Beer. The Fentimans Pink Gingerbread House will be the season’s most instagrammable installation, where Londoners can visit for festive ginger cocktails and sweet treats in a magical fairy-tale environment unlike no other in London.
Situated on the 9th floor of Skylight, one of London’s most popular rooftop destinations, overlooking the city’s iconic skyline, the Fentimans Pink Gingerbread House will be the perfect cosy accompaniment to the venue’s ice rink. Designed to look like a real gingerbread house decorated with icing, candy canes, the installation will also feature a cosy interior complete with edible sweet filled walls.
Launching on Thursday 14th November and running until January 2020, the Fentimans Pink Gingerbread House can fit groups of eight and will be available to book in three-hour slots throughout the festive season, via the Skylight website. Each group booking will receive a Fentimans hot Pink Ginger cocktail on arrival and all visitors to Skylight will be able to choose from a menu of Fentimans festive ginger drinks.
Pink Ginger was developed to offer a contemporary expression of a ginger style drink, with an emphasis on a lighter, aromatic flavour. The fresh and fragrant ginger flavour has been achieved by using the botanical brewing method, used to make all Fentimans drinks, combined with pear juice, orange and herbal extracts. The result is a drink of the highest quality with an unrivalled depth of flavour, which can be consumed on its own, or served in delicious cocktails – a perfect lightly spiced option for festive drinks with a difference.
Skylight has become one of London’s most popular rooftops and a firm fixture on any summer and winter hotlist. Themed around an urban après skate bar, this winter season, the three-story East London venue is playing host to Europe’s only real- ice rooftop ice rink, seasonal cocktails, ice hockey shooting, DJs, cosy igloos and huts, and some of the best views in the city.
