The City of London has a working record of its history stretching back nearly one thousand years, enjoy a rare opportunity to view treasures held in trust for the nation.

The documents on display belong to the collection of the London Metropolitan Archives whose holdings of records, documents, films, photographs and maps take up the equivalent of 100 km (62 miles).
On display:
- 9 January – 31 March 2016: a display featuring a deed with Shakespeare’s signature and Guildhall Library’s copy of the First Folio (part of the Shakespeare400 events programme)
- 2 April – 4 August 2016: a display featuring a letter to the City from the American colonies (with Hancock signature) and a commemoration of the Battle of the Somme
- 6 August – 8 December 2016: a display featuring Hooke diary, and archives relating to the Great Fire
- 11 December 2016 – 27 April 2017: a display featuring the 1067 William Charter
