Tickets for I Don’t Know Who You Are at BFI Flare available here.

I DON’T KNOW WHO YOU ARE will launch at the 38th BFI FLARE: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival. Written, directed, edited, and co-produced by M. H. Murray and starring Mark Clennon, who also co-wrote and produced, this Canadian feature is the second collaboration between Murray and Clennon after their short film GHOST. I DON’T KNOW WHO YOU ARE received its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2023.

The film will be screened at BFI Flare on 22 and 23 March with both M.H Murray and Mark Clennon expected to be in attendance. It will play in the ‘Bodies’ strand which includes stories of sex, identity and transformation.

This deeply personal film, which was inspired by Murray’s own experience, follows a musician named Benjamin (Clennon) over the course of one weekend as he struggles to obtain expensive preventative HIV treatment after being sexually assaulted by a stranger.

The film also features a beautiful title track written and performed by Mark Clennon himself. The song incorporates Clennon’s classic saxophone and piano melody to create the emotional single I DON’T KNOW WHO YOU ARE which is also performed in the film.
