Peace of Mind – a series of word and music soundscapes to calm the mind
and enrich the soul

The Charterhouse is delighted to announce a series of four lunchtime soundscape events specially curated by singer and teacher Deborah Hudson and Robin Isherwood, the Preacher at the Charterhouse. These soundscapes feature both live and recorded sounds, songs and musical extracts from around the world and are for anyone who would like to escape their busy city lives for half an hour, and immerse themselves in an aural world of calm.  Entrance is FREE with a suggested donation.

All the recitals are at 1.00-1.30pm in the Charterhouse Chapel on the following dates:

Afloat: Wednesday 12th September

Summer becomes autumn: Wednesday 10th October

Longing becomes peace: Wednesday 14th November

From shadow to light: Tuesday 11th December

Drop in and allow yourself to close your eyes and immerse yourself in a sound journey designed to promote reflection and contemplation, and to harmonise with the peace of the Charterhouse Chapel and surrounds.

Wheelchair access is possible.

This series of events is part of a developing programme of free and ticketed events being developed at the Charterhouse to attract new audiences, and giving people, both local and visiting, many different ways to discover and engage with the extraordinary history of the Charterhouse buildings and gardens.
