To a launch event for new Pizza experience, Pizza Buzz.  Interesting concept which could take off, although the location may be a little off the beaten track.

Pizza Buzz is towards the City Road end of Worship Street, surrounded mostly by office and light industrial premises, although actually only a minute’s walk from the more buzzy Finsbury Square.  It is located on the north side of the spectacular AlphaBeta building which fronts onto Finsbury Square and has been being redeveloped as a major high tech office location..

PizzaBuzz says it offers the city a quality, quick and delicious pizza fix, and this brand new restaurant boasts what it describes as a technologically advanced self-service experience that enables you to build your very own tailor made pizza as you progress down a pizza ‘assembly line’ choosing the type of base and all the ingredients.

Guests will effectively be able to create their own wood-fired pizza from start to finish choosing from a variety of fresh, locally sourced ingredients. You can choose to takeaway or enjoy in the comfort of the restaurant.

This new concept pizza restaurant comes from Barnaby Meredith’s Meredith Group, which also successfully runs two gastropubs – The Only Running Footman off Berkeley Square and The Portman in Marylebone – has reportedly spent some £850,000 in designing and fitting out the new restaurant as well as designing the concept and the brand.  Assuming the initial restaurant is a success it is planned to extend the concept to other venues.
