A new winebar on Long Lane between Barbican and Farringdon in the centre of the City was opened in December in the space previously occupied by the unfortunately shortlived Chabrot – Bistrot des halles.

Enoteca Rabezzana which has opened at 62-63 Long Lane, London EC1A 9EJ brings to the area more than 100 years of Italian wine history from Rabezzana Vini.

Since 1876 Rabezzana has been producing wines in the Monferrato area of Italy (especially Barbera and Grignolino DOCG and grown with organic methods) and is a family business run by four generations of the family Rabezzana. A heritage of culture and tradition that has led to identify the best areas and the best methods of processing grapes. Years of experience, now more than ever, guide the company in the choices and challenges of tomorrow. The wines have always won Rabezzana over the years prestigious awards and certificates of quality.

The new Enoteca (wine bar/shop and restaurant) is located in the buzzing and vibrant area around Smithfield Market, Enoteca Rabezzana will be more than just a wine bar: the owners want it to  become the new hotspot for Italian food and wine culture in London.

At Enoteca Rabezzana you find:

  • Almost 150 Italian red and white fine wines, sparkling wines, champagne by the glass and available for retail sale
  • Exclusively selected food products (pasta, traditional sweets and chocolate)
  • A special signature cocktail list exclusively created by our team
  • A richly varied events calendar of oenology courses, wine tastings and multisensorial workshops
  • A cosy and elegant interior with more than 60 covers that can be reserved for private events and business lunches

The food menu is the creation of Guglielmo Arnulfo, Chef Patron at Acciuga who, following the success of his Kensington restaurant, has developed new special tapas dishes  and large sharing plates that will be served alongside some of his signature ones: from his famously flavourful carbonara to a deliciously luxurious grilled octopus to an outstanding veg burger. Thanks to a super modern open plan kitchen the clients will have the possibility to see the preparation of all the mouthwatering dishes.

“What we are especially excited about is that the combination of my experience at Acciuga and the impressive heritage of Enoteca Rabezzana in Turin will create something very special and unique for the London scene. We will offer an Italian oeno-gastronomic experience second to none in the Capital.”

The wine bar is open Monday to Wednesday from 11.30 am to 10.30 pm, and Thursday and Friday from 11.30 am to midnight. You may book tables or request further information on 07831 573234 or check website at www.rabezzana.co.uk
