restart_logo_complete_black1Here’s a great opportunity to get small electrical items fixed for free …. And get taught how to do it at the same time so you can fix it again or fix other items themselves in future.

In recognition and celebration of the European Week of Waste Reduction, we are holding a Restart Pop-Up Reuse Party so, please don’t throw your broken electronics away!

Join The Restart Project for their Restart Pop-Up, a participatory repair clinic that will be held on Sunday 29 November, 2pm-5pm, at the Artizan Street Library, Middlesex Street Estate, E1 7AFYou will learn how to troubleshoot, disassemble and repair gadgets such as laptops, headphones, radios, smartphones and more. Bring along your broken gadget or drop in for advice. Please note that repair slots are offered on a first come, first served basis! Please bring proof of residence within the City of London as this event is open to City residents only.

Each repair slot lasts up to 30 minutes during which you can have fun learning why your device is no longer working and make progress towards getting it repaired. You will be able to do simple repairs while for more complicated ones you’ll troubleshoot to learn whether a repair is feasible.

Please be aware that we are not able to repair iPads or other tablets.’
