Come and help count birds in City and Barbican gardens as part of the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch 2020.

This will be the 13th year volunteers have participated in the Birdwatch. Expect to see about 17 different species – including some migratory birds that may have blown in over the winter.

All are welcome to join this gentle walk through a number of City gardens. If you would like to come along – or share your own results of counting birds from your balcony or in a Barbican garden – please PM me.

Saturday 25 January 08.30 – 11.00
Meet in Bunhill Fields by the gardener’s hut and then time/weather permitting moving on to Postman’s Park, St Paul’s and Cleary Gardens. We aim to spend about 2 hours in total – but you are welcome to join or leave at any time. Contact me for a detailed itinerary.

Sunday 26 January 09.00 – 10.30
We will be counting in the Barbican gardens starting in Barbican Wildlife Garden in Fann Street at 09.00 and continuing via Thomas More and Speed gardens.

Counting and ID sheets will be provided. Please bring your own binoculars – although there may be some spares to borrow.
