A new Spanish tapas restaurant, Sabor Iberico, has opened at 107 Whitecross Street, EC1 and is currently offering a 25% discount on food as an opening offer. It will also be offering a regular discount for Barbican Association members.
Whitecross Street is becoming an amazing location for relatively low cost eating with its huge range of street food stalls, and small restaurants and Sabor Iberico, which occupies the premises recently vacated by the Italian-themed Alba, should be a great addition given that there are no other Spanish restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
According to the owners there will a major emphasis on friendly and welcoming service and on food quality. Dishes range in price from around £2.50 up – with some larger plates coming in at £12.50 – to £13.50.
The restaurant has now been open for just under 2 weeks and what will be a good sized basement bar and private dining area is still under construction – it is hoped to open this in a week’s time.
Sabor Iberico will also be opening a small deli shop next door to the restaurant which will probably specialise in Spanish hams and charcuterie.
