*** Performance of The Tempest by SHAKESPEARE IN THE SQUARES 29th June

We are delighted to be embarking upon the fifth year of Shakespeare in the Squares and a new production of The Tempest, Shakespeare’s island romance of magic and music, where forgiveness triumphs over revenge and love brings us home, all with a Bossa-Nova heartbeat.

The Tempest will be directed by Sioned Jones, who was Hippolyta in our highly successful 2019 production A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

The performance will begin promptly at 7pm and will be over by approximately 9.30pm. We hope that the audience will picnic before the show. The Sutton Arms will be providing a bar.

The Charterhouse Museum, shop and chapel will be open for you to have a browse before and after the show, you are also welcome to use the Museum’s toilet facilities.

Dame Judi Dench, CH, DBE, FRSA, Patron of Shakespeare in the Squares says, “How wonderful that Shakespeare in the Squares will be back this summer. What better way to celebrate the end of lockdown than to sit and watch a perfect Shakespeare play in the glory of one of London’s open spaces – I cannot wait!”
