St Giles’ Book Fair reconvenes this Friday and runs until Bank Holiday Monday 28 August. As ever, a wonderful array of books, CDs, DVDs, records and special editions. They’ll be open every day 11am-4pm except that:
– they’re closed 1.30-3.30pm on Monday 14th for a funeral, but then open until 5pm.
– they’re closed 12.30-2.30pm on Wednesday 23rd for a memorial service, then open until 4pm
You may find the church is sometimes open late – they just can’t yet say when. But if we’re open, pop in.
If travelling far, please double-check they haven’t unexpectedly closed by calling or texting Jake on 07766 202 731. They happily and most gratefully receive donations of books, DVDs, etc, Please leave these with volunteers or by the reception desk if no one is on duty.
Paperbacks £3, hardbacks £4 unless otherwise marked. Particularly valuable books they price up but no more than 70% of their second-hand value. Many children’s’ books they price down. Volunteer-run with all proceeds going to the maintenance of the medieval church and of contemporary church life.
If there is no volunteer on duty for some reason, there is a card payment station by the door.
