Barbican sabreurs James and Nic have been exploring some of the best wine bars in our area and recently discovered Vagabond in Paternoster Square. The concept is simple but brilliant — over 100 wines on tap, ready for you to sample in a 25ml taster, 125ml small glass, or 175ml large glass.
The wines are separated by colour and “ theme” – elegant, vibrant, aromatic, crisp, rich, bold and spicy . Each wine comes with detailed tasting notes, or you can chat with one of the Vagabond team members for recommendations. It’s an easy (and fun!) way to explore a wide variety of wines — and once you find your perfect pour, you can order a full bottle from the bar. Prefer to keep sampling? Go ahead and compare reds, whites, rosés, sparkling and orange wines until you discover your favourite.
