Where Light Falls

Inspired by original poetry, cutting edge projections will illuminate this iconic landmark in honour of the men and women who risked their lives to save the Cathedral during WW2. Putting themselves in the path of bombs, the daring members of St Paul’s Watch ensured the survival of a masterpiece that became a symbol of resilience. Historic England, working with the Poetry Society and leading creatives Double Take Projections, invite you to uncover the hidden histories of our wartime heroes. Where Light Falls, in partnership with St Paul’s Cathedral and its companion piece at Coventry Cathedral (14-16 November), is inspired by What Remains, a jointly curated Historic England and Imperial War Museum exhibition focusing on the deliberate destruction of cultural places, the objects and stories that bring them to life and rebuilding the culture that follows. What Remains runs from 5 July 2019 – 5 January 2020.

Date: 25-27 October

Location: St Paul’s Cathedral
